General Procurement Notice for 2014 Capital and Recurrent Projects
Introduction
The Federal Ministry of Transport intends to undertake the procurement and Disposal of various projects and used Office Items respectively under the 2014 Capital and Recurrent Budget.
In compliance with the Public Procurement Act 2007, the Ministry wishes to put on alert all interested and reputable Contractors/Suppliers/Consultants/ Investors with relevant experiences for consideration for the execution of the following projects:

3. | Printing of non-security documents |
4. | Maintenance of Office Equipment |
5. | Maintenance of IT Equipment |
6. | Other Maintenance Services |
7. | Upgrading of Conference Room for Communication/Video Conference and Telepresence System |
8. | Expression of Interest for the Development of Standard Gauge New Rail Lines Using the Public Private Partnership (PPP) Strategy
Lot 1A: Lagos – Ibadan – Oshogbo – Baro – Abuja (High Speed) (615Km approx.) Lot 1B: Lagos – Shagamu – Ijebu-Ode – Ore – Benin City (300Km approx.) Lot 1C: Eganyi – Obajana – Jakura – Baro – Abuja with spur from Ajaokuta- Otukpo Lot ID: Zaria – Funtua – Tsafe – Gusau – Kaura -Namoda – Sokoto – Illela – BirninKoni (520Km approx.) Lot 1E:- Benin – Agbor – Ogwashi – Uku – Asaba – Onitsha – Nnewi – Owerri – Aba with additional line from Onitsha- Enugu – Abakaliki (500Km approx.) Lot 1F: Eganyi – Lokoja – Abaji – Abuja (Idu) (280Km approx.) Lot 1G: Costal Rail Line Route:- Benin City- Sapele- Warri – Yenegoa – Port Harcourt- Aba – Uyo – Calabar – Akampa – Ikom – Obudu Cattle Ranch (673 approx.)

The Procurements will be subjected to due process mechanism and open to all eligible bidders and Investors. Subsequently within the year, Specific Procurement Notices for these procurements will be placed on the Notice Boards and Website of the Ministry and its Parastatals/Agencies, National and International Dailies as applicable as well as the Federal Tenders Journal accordingly depending on their thresholds as soon as the relevant solicitation bidding documents and Investment manuals respectively are finalized.
Interested eligible bidders and Investors, who wish to participate in the bidding process, are advised to be on the lookout for the subsequent Advertisements.
Please note that as applicable all the documents on Responsive Criteria such as Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Value Added Tax (VAT), Pension Commission (PENCOM) and Tax Certificates may be referred to the Security Agencies, Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), National Pension Commission (NPC) and other relevant bodies for verification.
The Ministry also reserves the right to invoke the provisions of Sections 28 of the Public Procurement Act (PPA) 2007 without incurring any liability to the bidder.
