Invitation to Bid

Bid for the Award of Contracts for Water Projects in Edo State.

Edo State Government invites reputable contractors, who are registered with the State Government and Edo State Urban Water Board in the appropriate categories, to bid for the following projects in the listed parts of the state.

1.       (a)     RETICULATION – EWOHIMI AND ENVIRONS

(b)     REHABILITATION OF IKPOBA RIVER DAM

(2)     Interested BIDDERS are to collect the bid documents from the headquarters of Edo State Urban Water Board, Plot 102, Sapele Road, Benin City. Bidders are to pay N100, 000 (One Hundred Thousand Naira, Only) for projects that are NOM, N25M and N150, 000 (One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira Only) for projects above N25M in bank draft made payable to Edo State Urban Water Board.

(3)     Bidders will be required to provide the following information among others:

• Tax clearance certificate for the immediate past 3 years.
• Evidence of registration as a contractor in the appropriate category with Edo State Water Board.
• Evidence of registration with Edo State Government
• Evidence of incorporation (if it’s a limited liability company) or registration of business name.
• Evidence of Federal Ministry of Energy current license in category one.
• Personal income tax certificate for the immediate past three years for the chairman and at least three directors of the company.
• A copy of the company’s profile.
• Reference letter from a reputable bank.

(4)     Bidders are expected to liase with the General Manager, Edo State Urban Water Board, for supply of documents and specifications that may facilitate the bidding. Completed bid forms, together with other documents, should be in a sealed envelope, on which, at the top left hand corner, it should be stated the title of the project, addressed and submitted by hand to: The Secretary, Ministerial Tenders Board, Ministry of Energy and Water Resources, Dennis Osadebey Avenue, G.R.A, Benin City, Edo State. Bids must reach the above address within 14daysfrom the date of this publication.

(5)     The Ministry/Board is not obliged to accept the lowest bid or any tender please.
