Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Programme (MNCH2)
Expression of Interest (EOI) for MNCH2 LOT Quality Assurance Survey
The Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Programme (MNCH2) is a UK government funded five year country led programme which aims to reduce maternal and child mortality in northern Nigeria. The programme, which runs from 2014 to 2019, is being implemented in six states in northern Nigeria namely Jigawa, Kaduna, Katsina, Kano, Yobe and Zamfara.
MNCH2 proposes to use Lot Quality Assurance Survey (LQAS) to derive population estimates and measure the programme’s outcome indicators annually. The primary purpose will be using LQAS as a management tool implemented by LGA health team staff and using data for planning and decision making directly at the local level by health facilities and LGAs.
The household survey will mainly focus on assessing the availability, accessibility, effectiveness and utilization of MNCH/RH services in the MNCH2 states. The results of the survey will provide important outcome measures of MNCH/RH interventions to MNCH2 and its key stakeholders.
MNCH2 plans to implement the above work-streams through local institutions or research organizations and hereby invites interested institutions/organizations to apply.
To qualify, institutions or research organizations must have the following skills/requirements;
- Fulfill all requirements to carry-out consultancy services in Nigeria
- Previously conducted similar health assessment, health research or evaluation
- Ability to provide technical oversight for all phases of LQAS implementation
- Implement survey according to protocol, analyze and present findings in an agreeable format
- Meet deliverables within the agreed timelines
- Willingness to work in resource scarce environment
Expression of interest should be sent to M-E@mnch2.com
