Introduction
African Reinsurance Corporation (Africa Re) was established in 1976 by 36 member States of the African Union and the African Development Bank Group (AfDB). It is the leading reinsurance company in Africa and the Middle East with diplomatic status in its current 41 African member countries. Its shareholding is split between African (75%) and Non-African (25%) investors. African shareholding comprises 41 African states, the AfDB and more than 100 African insurance/reinsurance companies from the 41 member countries. Non-African shareholding is made up of PROPARCO (subsidiary of the AFD, France), IRB Brasil Re (leading Brazilian reinsurer), AXA (leading global French insurer) and FAIRFAX (Canadian group of insurance and reinsurance companies across the globe).
Scope of Work
Currently headquartered in Lagos (Nigeria), African Reinsurance Corporation is desirous of procuring a suitable plot of land for the development of its new corporate Head office building in Abuja, Nigeria, The preferred locations are: Central Business Area, Maitama, Garki, Wuse, Asokoro, Jabi

Africa Re is therefore inviting genuine land owners or their mandated representatives to submit – proposals based on the Terms of Reference (TOR) to be found at www.africa-re.com/tenders
The property owner with the most appropriate proposal and the most suitable land acceptable to Africa-Re shall be required to enter into an Agreement with Africa Re.
The preferred land owner will be responsible for the payment of agency fees and other statutory fees to their mandated representatives as Africa-Re s not obliged to bear any cost other than the price of the land.
The proposal including all verifiable land documents should be forwarded by registered post addressed to the Chairman Tenders Committee – African Reinsurance Corporation, Plot 1679, Karimu Kotun Street, Victoria Island, Lagos on or before Friday, 26th June, 2015 – 2.00 pm Nigeria time
