Invitation for Bidding in Respect of Resuscitation of TRIUMPH Publishing Company Limited Kano
Introduction
1.1. In its determined efforts to address the Technical and Managerial deficiencies as well as deficit in the editorial content of Triumph Newspapers published by Triumph Publishing Company Limited, Kano State Government is embarking on massive Administrative, Technical and Infrastructure uplift of the Company.
1.2. The desire is informed by the need for a modern media management which requires high-tech Machinery and ICT components, competent technical, editorial and administrative personnel with proven track record of performance.
2. Objective
The aim of the project is to revive and resuscitate the Triumph Publishing Company as a first and ultra modern Newspaper and commercial printing Company that is not only financially viable but professionally and technically competent to meet contemporary challenges of print media production as well as meeting the objectives for which the Company was originally set up in 1981.
3. Strategy
To achieve the desired objectives, Kano State Government is desirous of entering a Tripartite arrangement composing Government, willing investors and a group of media professionals with the required professional Technical and Managerial skills to run a modern Newspaper and undertake commercial printing jobs.
4. Qualification and Eligibility
Government by this notice is calling for interested corporate or individual investors with relevant experience in the Newspaper Publishing and associated services wishing to join hands with it to jointly run the Company under mutually agreed terms and conditions to be worked out.
All interested Corporate Organizations and individuals wishing to apply must provide verifiable information and evidence with accompanying documents.
5. Requirements
All applicants must submit the following documents for the purpose of assessment:-
a. Application to pre-qualify
b. Evidence of incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission (where applicable)
c. Memorandum of Articles of Association of the Company and up to date Annual Returns.
d. Company Profile with Certificates, telephone Numbers and e-mails addresses of Key personnel
e. Tax clearance for the last 3 years
f. Company Audited Accounts for the last 3 years
g. Evidence of financial capability and Banking support
h. Evidence of undertaking similar ventures.
i. Verifiable evidence of relevant equipment and facilities and their location (where they can be inspected with proof of ownership).
j. Payment of non-refundable processing fee of N50, 000 payable in draft in favour of Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Kano State.
k. All applications must be delivered in 2 hard and 1 soft copy on 16th October 2013, while all accompanying documents should be submitted in color. Originals should be made available for sighting on requests.
6. Submission of Document
All applications should be submitted in a sealed envelope marked Pre-Qualification for Resuscitation of Triumph Publishing Company Limited, Kano to be addressed to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, No 1 Sabo Bakin Zuwo Road, Nassarawa GRA, Kano, P.M.B. 3080 Kano.
