Procurement of Contractors for the Construction of Remediation Works in Selected Gully Erosion Sites in Cross River State.
1. This Specific Procurement Notice (SPN) follows the publication of the General Procurement Notice GPN for this project, which appeared in the UN Development Business Issue No: WB 1990 – 07/12 dated 13th July, 2012
2. The Federal Republic of Nigeria has received a credit from the World Bank towards the cost of the Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP) and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the contract for which this invitation to tender is issued.
Bidding is open to bidders from all countries as defined in the World Bank Rules of procedure for Procurement of Goods. Works and Services
3. The State Project Management Unit (SPMU ), Cross River – Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP) on behalf of Cross River State Government invites sealed bids from prospective bidders for the construction of remediation works in the following lots:-

4. Complete set of bidding documents for any of the lots may be purchased at the Office address below upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Fifteen thousand naira (N15,000.) for one Lot only, and any additional lot will include a fee of Ten Thousand naira (N 10,000) only.

Interested bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the same address. The instructions to bidders and general conditions of contract contained in the bidding documents comply with the FGN Standard Bidding Documents SBD for the procurement of Goods/Works.
5. Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days after Bid Opening and must be accompanied by security for each lot as follows:
- Lot l: Ikot Ekpo Gully – N13,979,662.50.
- Lot 2: Atakpa Gully – N7,197,188.20.
- Lot 3: Nyangasang Gully – N4,298,456.02.
- Lot 4: Edim Otop Gully – N5,454,631.60
6. Bids shall be delivered at the NEWMAP State Project Management Unit at the office address above not later than by 12: noon local time on 24th October, 2013.
Bids will be opened at the same address at 12 noon local time on the same date and in the presence of bidders representatives who choose to attend. Please note that electronic bid submission will not be accepted.
7. A pre-bid conference will be held at the office address above on 10th October, 2013 which is two weeks before bid opening by 12noon to allow potential bidders to seek clarifications on the bidding documents.
